Una investigaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica con las tierras de las fosas donde fueron halladas personas detenidas desaparecidas durante la \u00faltima dictadura c\u00edvico militar en Uruguay, (1973\/1985).<\/p>\n

Con las tierras que los mantuvo escondidos durante medio siglo, la artista crea dispositivos de activaci\u00f3n de la memoria a trav\u00e9s de diferentes t\u00e9cnicas art\u00edsticas, que van desde la creaci\u00f3n de huellas con fotograf\u00eda experimental hasta la plantaci\u00f3n en salas de museo.<\/p>\n

Entendiendo a la tierra como archivo de la memoria, se propone la obra desde el concepto agroecol\u00f3gico de compostaje para transformar el terror de los enterramientos clandestinos realizados por militares, en transformaci\u00f3n vital, en obras pict\u00f3ricas e instalaciones de arte contempor\u00e1neo.<\/p>\n

Hacer arte podr\u00eda estar vinculado a transplantar, a traducir, a interpretar, a encarnar, a la implantaci\u00f3n ontol\u00f3gica, a traer a la realidad algo nuevo: un proyecto art\u00edstico como un laboratorio donde las disciplinas se interconectan. Si bien el arte no redime a trav\u00e9s de la experiencia est\u00e9tica, recordar es una acci\u00f3n vital, como lo es plantar.<\/p>\n

Proyecto declarado de inter\u00e9s ministerial por el Ministerio de Educaci\u00f3n y Cultura de Uruguay.<\/p>\n

Ganador del premio Fondos Concursables para la Cultura 2024, Artes Visuales.<\/p>\n

Manuela Aldabe trabaja en este proyecto desde 2019, en un proceso de seis a\u00f1os le fueron entregadas las tierras de las fosas de todos los desaparecidos hallados por el Grupo de Antropolog\u00eda Forense de Uruguay.<\/p>\n

En Uruguay son 197 v\u00edctimas detenidas desaparecidas, seg\u00fan la organizaci\u00f3n Madres y Familiares de uruguayos Detenidos Desaparecidos, de las cuales hasta ahora han sido halladas solo 7, el proyecto cuenta con tierra de todos los hallazgos. Los hallazgos se realizaron en predios militares.<\/p>\n

Las tierras fueron entregadas a Manuela Aldabe por el Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n en Antropolog\u00eda Forense (GIAF) a trav\u00e9s de la Instituci\u00f3n Nacional de Derechos Humanos (INDDHH), responsable de las b\u00fasquedas antropol\u00f3gicas, con los permisos del fiscal especializado en delitos de lesa humanidad, Dr. Ricardo Perciballe y de la jueza Dra. T\u00f3rtora, con el apoyo de la Red Nacional de Sitios de la Memoria.<\/p>\n

Este proyecto propone el concepto de memoria como fuente hist\u00f3rico social, sin sembrar terror. El arte aqu\u00ed se convierte en una llave para abordar el trauma social en un plano simb\u00f3lico. El arte aqu\u00ed se plantea como un espacio de resistencia, de libertad.<\/p>\n

I appeal to the ground that contained the hidden bones of three victims of state terrorism during the last military dictatorship in Uruguay. Using an ancient and manual photographic technique, I made a large-scale cyanotype with soil extracted from the graves of Eduardo Bleier, Julio Castro\n and Ricardo Blanco, disappeared. On the beach \"de los ingleses\" I took the photograph and developed it on the shore of the Rio de la Plata, in front of the Carlos 300 R detention and torture centre. An audiovisual documenting the creative process. With the land where their remains were found, I plant a rose bush, the glass pot allows you to see the land that hid three disappeared victims of state terrorism for more than three decades. I look for the energy left in the earth, generating an image that is a collective gear.

The spiral is formed by direct contact between the lands of the three graves of missing victims of State terrorism: Eduardo Bleier Horovitz , Julio Castro and Ricardo Blanco. These are the lands of the sites where her bone remains were found during anthropological excavations, given to the artist by the Human Rights Institution of Uruguay.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interpelo a las tierras que contuvieron escondidos los huesos de tres v\u00edctimas de\u00a0<\/span>terrorismo de Estado durante la \u00faltima dictadura militar en Uruguay. Con las tierras que\u00a0<\/span>escondieron sus cuerpos durante m\u00e1s de tres d\u00e9cadas,\u00a0<\/span>siembro<\/span>\u00a0un jard\u00edn en el Museo de\u00a0<\/span>la Memoria de Montevideo. <\/span>Con una t\u00e9cnica fotogr\u00e1fica antigua y manual, realizo cianotipos de gran escala. Busco la\u00a0energ\u00eda que qued\u00f3 en la tierra, generando una serie de imagenes\u00a0que\u00a0son engranaje\u00a0colectivo.<\/p>\n

Eduardo Bleier Horovitz, a Jew, a communist, kidnapped in 1975, and a friend of my grandfather, was found in 2018. From then on I began to investigate the concept of land as a memory archive and after two years of bureaucratic and judicial requests, the The Human Rights Institution of Uruguay gave me land from Eduardo's grave, Julio Castro's grave and Ricardo Blanco's grave.<\/p>\n

Blue Planet\u00a0<\/span>Blue Planet is the name of the garden that I plant in the Museum of Memory in Montevideo, a site specific, an artistic laboratory in a place of memory, a garden that is proposed as a space for active contemplation, where we can sit and watch, plant, feel the embrace of the flowers that they could not cut.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each plant that is integrated is a collective performative act, each one contains a land of those lands, which are an archive. Relatives of victims, human rights defenders, girls and boys from schools and the neighborhood, bring their plant, perform their ritual. I take care of each plant, I make a herbarium. With those flowers, leaves, earth, I create images by direct contact between the photographic emulsion and the botanical objects, creating traces.<\/span><\/p>\n

Usando una de las primeras t<\/span>\u00e9<\/span>cnicas fotogr<\/span>\u00e1<\/span>ficas, la cianotipia, sin c<\/span>\u00e1<\/span>mara y por contacto directo, creo huellas de las tierras y su jard<\/span>\u00ed<\/span>n. La cianotipia es una t<\/span>\u00e9<\/span>cnica del 1840, muy usada para la copia de planos en arquitectura e ingenier<\/span>\u00ed<\/span>a, elijo esta t\u00e9cnica porque propongo la memoria como cimiento de nuestra sociedad. Las l<\/span>\u00ed<\/span>neas generadas por los dibujos de luz de esas huellas bot<\/span>\u00e1<\/span>nicas se imponen con su belleza ante el olvido, esas l\u00edneas de la memoria cuyo origen son los tallos de las plantas crecidas en el jard\u00edn, sostienen nuestras libertades.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wisteria, a symbol of beauty and humility, bow to the oak leaves, which sprout\nfrom this earth. Earth from the sites where three uruguaian desaparecidos were found: Eduardo Bleier Horovitz, Ricardo Blanco and Julio Castro. This art work was created using an old photographic technique, without a\ncamera, putting in contact the symbolic\nobjects and the sensitive photographic emulsion to the sunlight. Cyanotype is a cameral-ess photographcprinting process invented in 1842 by scientist and astronomer Sir John Hirschel, which produces a cyan- blue print when a chemistry-coated surface is exposed to sunlight.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Eduardo Bleier Horovitz, jew and communist, Julio Castro , teacher and journalist and Ricardo Blanco, syndicalist were found in military areas, by the forenze anthropology team. They were buried hidden for forty years.<\/span><\/p>\n

The artist obtained the earth by the Human Right Institute Uruguay, and she also has the permission of Human Right Fiscal, and the Fiscal from each cause.<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
